Why Join Rotary? Click on this link to download a brief description of why you should join The Rotary Club of West Houston. You can also download the Rotary International color brochure, Rotary Basics, which will provide you with essential information on what we are and what we do.
If you are interested in being invited to join a Rotary Club and you live and/or work in the West Houston area please e-mail our President Joy Neidell or our Membership Chair, Sarosh Manekshaw. Alternatively you may complete and submit our Prospective Member Form. We will be pleased to provide you with more information about Rotary and our club activities, and invite you to one of our meetings.
If you are already a member of The Rotary Club of West Houston and would like to propose a new member ask Sarosh for a New Member Profile Form. The form is a protected Word document that can be filled in and, when complete, should be e-mailed to Sarosh Manekshaw for processing. For those without computer availability a paper copy of the form will be provided.
2006 - 2007 Membership Dues
Initiation Fee
A One time initiation fee of $70 is charged to each new member. The initiation fee for Rotarians transferring from other clubs may be waived at the discretion of the Board.
Annual Dues
The annual dues are $130. This is collected semi-annually; $65 on January 1, and $65 on July 1 of each calendar year. If joining at any time during the year dues will be prorated for only the months remaining.
Meal Charges
The charge for each lunch is $13. However, at the start of each quarter, an advance payment of $3 per meal is due. That is, if there are 13 weeks in the upcoming quarter, and advance payment of $39 is due, and if there is 12 weeks in that quarter, $36 is due.
The remaining $10 is due at the time of the meeting. The advance $3 is non-refundable. If a member misses a meeting the advance goes back to the club for other use.
Meal costs for special events will be announces ahead of time and will vary depending on the occasion and location of the event.
